Nikhil, a Building
Excellent Schools Fellow, is the lead
founder of Collegiate
Hall Charter School. Nikhil began his career in education as a Teach
for America Corps member,
as the founding math teacher of a new charter high school in West Philadelphia. In his
third year at the school,
Nikhil shifted to teaching high school
Biology and took on his first formal leadership role as
Dean of Faculty, co‐leading the
school on a day‐to‐day
basis, and evaluating a staff of
almost 40 teachers. In
2011, Nikhil joined the
Denver School of Science
and Technology as Dean
of Students. Nikhil
was primarily responsible
for
the culture and operations of
the 11th and 12th grade (Senior Academy), leading a team of educators and their 200 students to an average 24.1 ACT score,
a 98% graduation rate, and a 100%
college acceptance rate.
